Vesting templates are a pre-configured set of vesting timelines that make it easy to create vesting schedules on securities. To manage vesting templates, navigate to Equity > Configuration > Vesting Templates:

What are acceleration templates?
Acceleration templates are a pre-configured set of terms for how vesting should be accelerated upon certain conditions. Given that these terms are not standard, AngelList Equity does not come ready with acceleration templates. Contact your law firm to acquire the terms necessary to add acceleration templates. To manage acceleration templates, navigate to Equity > Configuration > Acceleration Templates:

You may record a modification of vesting/acceleration on active/outstanding securities only after formally amending the security with the help of legal counsel. What are vesting notifications?
They are automated congratulatory/informational emails sent to equity holders on the day their equity vests. These automated emails are turned OFF by default to ensure no emails are sent by surprise. Equity holders cannot choose to turn them on. Equity admins must turn them on. As of April 1, 2024, vesting event notifications can be sent for option grants. We are working to add vesting event notifications for other security types. Here is an example. The copy/contents are customizable for Scale Plan customers:
How do I enable vesting notification emails?
By default, vesting notification emails are turned OFF. You do not need to take action to ensure they are not sent. To enable vesting notifications (steps to disable are here):- Navigate to Company Settings, and toggle on vesting notifications for your account. This is a company-level configuration. Doing so will not trigger any notifications:

- Navigate to the option grant, edit it, and toggle on vesting notifications. Doing so will trigger notifications for future vesting events, but not previous vesting events:

How do I disable vesting notifications?
To completely disable all vesting notifications for all securities, 1. navigate to Company Settings, and toggle off vesting notifications for your account. This is a company-level configuration. Doing so will disable vesting notifications for all securities:

How do I set custom vesting on a security?
For securities with unique vesting schedules, you can design a custom vesting schedule by navigating to the security’s vesting table, then clicking “Manually set vesting schedule”.
