# Accepting Securities

### What happens when I am issued a security (shares or options)?

When the company issues a security, you will receive a notification in your email. Once logged in, you can accept and acknowledge receipt of the instrument through an e-signature. When you accept the instrument, you will be asked to confirm your entity information.

### Do I get a certificate for my security?

Companies can set their certificate settings to issue printable certificates or issue securities in book entry form, without a printable certificate.

In either case, you will receive a notice and be able to access a record of your security on your [investor dashboard](/equity/stakeholder-experience/stakeholder-experience#dashboard-management).

### What happens when I sign a SAFE through AngelList?

When you sign a SAFE through AngelList, you and the company will each get an email with a partially executed version of the SAFE. Once the company counter-signs the investment agreement you will receive a fully executed version via email. Typically, this happens when the company receives funds for the investment.

Once the SAFE is fully executed, a [shareholder dashboard](/equity/stakeholder-experience/stakeholder-experience#dashboard-management) will be created for you. You'll be able to log in to AngelList at any time to view your SAFE, contact the company, and see other relevant details.
